2015: Ughelli kingdom drums support for Jonathan
UGHELLI—People of Ughelli kingdom have vowed to work relentlessly for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
They spoke when they hosted the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Dr. Steve Oru, on his appointment into the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, said the Urhobo had sought for the appointment of an indigene as a minister until Dr. Oru was appointed.
While thanking God for Oru’s appointment, Uduaghan, who was represented by his deputy, Prof. Amos Utuama, stressed the need for gratitude and said God had blessed Ughelli kingdom, the Ughelli royal family and the Urhobo.
Dr. Oru, in his remark, thanked the people of Ughelli, the royal family and the Urhobo for the honour done him and his family
