Man charged with fraudulent purchase of rams

A49-year-old man, Solomon Alabi, has been charged before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Lagos over fraudulent purchase of four rams valued at N570,000.
The accused, whose address is unknown, was said to have issued a cheque for the rams, but same was dishonoured at the bank due to insufficient fund.
According to the charge, the accused also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by refusing to pay N570,000 to the owner of rams, one Musediq Oloriebi.
However, when the charge was read to the accused before Magistrate Abimbola Komolafe, he pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000, with two sureties and adjourned to January 29, 2015.
