APC Primaries: Tinubu-anointed candidate defeats Fashola’s candidate, others

Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, former Accountant-General of Lagos state and the anointed candidate of the National leader of the Al Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the primary of the party in Lagos state. He defeated eleven other candidates including Olasupo Sashore, the supposed candidate of the incumbent governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola. Results are being counted at the venue of the primary in Onikan stadium but Mr. Ambode has already recorded more votes than his closest challenger, Obafemi Hamzat Results so far: Ambode over 1300 and still counting Tola Kasali 69 votes.
