APC Primaries: Tinubu-anointed candidate defeats Fashola’s candidate, others

Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, former Accountant-General of Lagos state and the anointed candidate of the National leader of the Al Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the primary of the party in Lagos state. He defeated eleven other candidates including Olasupo Sashore, the supposed candidate of the incumbent governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola. Results are being counted at the venue of the primary in Onikan stadium but Mr. Ambode has already recorded more votes than his closest challenger, Obafemi Hamzat Results so far: Ambode over 1300 and still counting Tola Kasali 69 votes. Every judge I sacked got fair hearing —Mukhtar

ABUJA— The retired Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Aloma Mukhtar, yesterday, denied using her former position to witch-hunt judges who had personal issues with her. *Aloma Mariam Mukhtar Speaking at a valedictory court session organised in her honour by the Supreme Court, yesterday, Justice Mukhtar, whose tenure as CJN witnessed the sack of seven judges, said she ensured that all sacked judges got fair hearing. Queen of Versailles' Stars' Daughter Victoria Siegel Dead at 18

The teenage daughter of Queen Of Versailles stars David 80 and Jackie Siegel 49, has been found dead at the family's luxury Florida mansion. 18 year old Victoria Siegel was found unresponsive by sheriff's deputies at the Seagull Island mansion on Green Island Cove just after 2 p.m. on Saturday and performed CPR on Siegel. She was discovered by the family housekeeper and was rushed to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, where she was pronounced dead. The family and their extravagant lifestyle gained international attention after the release of the 2012 documentary The Queen Of Versailles Investigators are working with the medical examiner to determine cause and manner of death, but it is rumoured  that she died of a drug overdose.
