Niger Delta group endorses Jonathan, Mutu

BOMADI–A Niger Delta group, Delta Izon Democratic Mechanism, DIDM, has endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan and Mr. Nicholas Mutu, the member representing Bomadi/Patani federal constituency in the National Assembly for their re-election to continue in 2015. Publicity Secretary of the group, Seifegha Peter in a statement, said that both President Jonathan and the lawmaker, Mutu, have the group’s support, noting that the move was in recognition to the massive human and infrastructural development the people of the constituency and the country in general have witnessed under the President Jonathan’s administration. DIDM also congratulated Mr Pius Labo on his victory at the PDP state House of Assembly primaries in Bomadi and appealed to delegates in a similar way to vote Mutu to continue in 2015. The group called on delegates to vote for Mutu, whom it said remains the best candidate to lead the people. “DIDM as a group through mobilisation of the people want to ensure good political atmosphere that will encourage collective participation to produce effective leadership in the land. We stand for the growth, promotion and defence of our democracy and the enthronement of good governance by tackling political office holders on accountability and probity. ”This is why we are canvassing the re-election of Jonathan and Mutu, whom the electorate can hold accountable,” Peter said.
